Pedestal - Oil on Board, Currently on view at The Slow Rhode (425 W Fountain St, Providence, RI)

I made a little sketch of this design, and I fell in love with it. It seemed so much more expressive than previous abstractions. It gave me a fun, paint by numbers type template from which I invented and reinvented over and over again. With the form static, I could focus entirely on color and texture and in turn I could see how color and texture changed what I see in their forms.
